Claire chatted to Kirstin Petersen from Cornell University about how robots can work collectively to realize complicated behaviours.

Kirstin Petersen is an Associate Professor within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. Her lab, the Collective Embodied Intelligence Lab, is targeted on design and coordination of robotic collectives capable of obtain complicated behaviors past the attain of a person, and corresponding research on how social bugs accomplish that in nature.  Petersen did her postdoc on the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems and her PhD at Harvard University and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering.
