Mental Health America (MHA) is dedicated to fairness for all and continues to increase entry to and improve psychological well being literacy in communities that traditionally have skilled obstacles in acquiring the assist they deserve when and the way they want it most. Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities have distinctive experiences and views that necessitate culturally responsive psychological well being care and schooling. To additional deal with the wants of and interact with BIPOC communities, MHA usually creates psychological well being consciousness initiatives aimed toward highlighting and responding to the wants of those communities.

Through the beneficiant assist of the CVS Health Foundation, MHA is happy to proceed our work in addressing the wants of BIPOC communities by distributing ten microgrants to pick out MHA associates to assist the psychological well being of people who establish as Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) of their respective areas.

Each recipient of this microgrant will make the most of the funds to offer psychological well being assist to BIPOC communities of their space by way of a number of of the next methods: selling psychological well being screenings, offering culturally responsive schooling, or rising group outreach and engagement.
