Mom & Dad’s Visit
Mom and pa got here up for Thanksgiving this yr. Mom, per regular, introduced Gussie a present: a stuffed campfire.
Within minutes it was in puffs….. This occurs each single time but mother at all times acts shocked!
She forgave him <3
The boys received a couple of presents too!
Date Night at Cafe Frank
When my mother and father come they shoo us out the door on their first night time so we get a date night time they usually get high quality time with the boys whereas everyone seems to be contemporary. We by no means refuse this plan – haha! We set them up with some pizzas and desserts and headed downtown to Cafe Frank for our first go to.
We had wine, fried mushrooms, and superb completely cooked sirloin.
And a chocolate bomb for dessert!
Family Night Out at Passiflora
After a day filled with Thanksgiving casserole cooking, toy enjoying, health club periods, and playground time, we headed out once more, this time as a gaggle, to Passiflora!
Mazen cherished his nachos
I’ve had this home salad twice and it’s so good and refreshing. And all of us devoured the chips and queso!
Afterwards we glided by Kilwins for ice cream.
Thanksgiving 2022
We began the date with donuts and Great Harvest muffins plus eggs and fruit. And a pleasant chill Peloton journey.
Mid-day we stuffed ourselves within the automotive. Dad volunteered to get within the again with the casseroles!
North Garden
Our vacation spot was North Garden to Thomas’s mother and father’ home the place a beautiful desk was set.
And naturally, a children desk too!

We ate simply because the solar was setting round 5:00
I made my mother’s quaint brandied candy potatoes – marshmallows and all! Just the way in which I like ’em.
We had a little bit little bit of the whole lot traditional: broccoli casserole, dressing, mac and cheese, corn pudding, cranberry sauce, and turkey.

And for dessert: 3 sorts of pie from The Pie Chest. The pecan was my fav!
Black Friday
Thomas and received up and went to ACAC the place they had been having a Fitsgiving celebration. I did a short-but-sweet exercise and frolicked enjoyable within the sauna. Mom stated “don’t rush back” so we went to The Juice Laundry for inexperienced smoothies after!
Lunch on a roll
Early afternoon I dug into our leftovers to make a turkey roll-wich with a couple of sides.
I watched the World Cup sport with an Athletic Brewing beer. This fashion is by far my favourite NA beer and continues to be on sale for Cyber Monday!
I had one other plate of leftovers earlier than we left for the UVA males’s basketball sport! Our first of the season with the boys alongside. Birch exhibiting off his tongue rolling abilities!
Tree Shopping Saturday
On Saturday we did some exercises, had smoothies for breakfast, after which went Christmas tree buying! I usually don’t love getting my tree soooo early, however we’ll be gone subsequent weekend and Mazen is touring the following, so it was now or by no means!
We drove out to the Market at Grelen (the place we went in 2020) to chop down our personal tree.

After we had some snacks, the boys wished to go to Santa’s sleigh since he had gone residence for the day. I like the numerous faces of Birch!
Once residence, Birch gained the prize for “Most Enthusiastic About The Christmas Tree!”
Eventually Mazen joined in to hold a couple of ornaments too : )
We completed off our leftovers, opened some wine, and turned on Christmas music for the primary time.
