Robot Talk Episode 45 – Francesco Giorgio-SerchiClaire chatted to Francesco Giorgio-Serchi from the University of Edinburgh all about underwater robots, weather-proofing, and comfortable robotics.

Francesco Giorgio-Serchi is a Lecturer and Chancellor’s Fellow in Robotics and Autonomous Systems on the University of Edinburgh. His work encompasses the design and management of underwater automobiles for operation in excessive climate circumstances. Previously he was a Research Fellow on the University of Southampton, inside the Fluid-Structure-Interaction group, the place he labored on the design of soft-bodied, bioinspired, aquatic automobiles. Dr. Giorgio-Serchi holds an MSc from the University of Pisa, Italy, in Marine Technologies and a PhD in Fluid Dynamics from the University of Leeds.
