Promise Robotics, an AI firm growing a cloud-based industrial manufacturing platform for robotic building and meeting, has raised $15 million in Series A funding. The newest spherical brings the corporate’s complete funding up to now to $25 million.
The new funding will assist Promise Robotics commercialize its robotic manufacturing unit platform to assist its rising demand from homebuilders and to proceed increasing its product IP in AI, laptop imaginative and prescient, and industrialized robotics programs for building.
The firm’s system permits the homebuilding trade to deploy automation at scale. Promise Robotics’ AI platform transforms off-the-shelf industrial robots into ready-to-deploy manufacturing programs powered by its proprietary cloud-based working system that manages this whole manufacturing lifecycle. The firm manages all the automation lifecycle inside factories as a service, releasing its prospects to deal with homebuilding and rising their companies.
“Builders are reluctant to invest in costly factories and then endure years of trial and error to achieve operational success,” Ramtin Attar, CEO and co-founder of Promise Robotics, mentioned. “These capital and knowledge barriers have historically impeded the industry’s ability to invest in automation technology. We have melded our first-hand expertise in automated homebuilding with transformative technology innovations to remove both barriers to broader adoption.”
Horizons Ventures led the spherical, which additionally included participation from Radical Ventures, Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments), and strategic traders together with United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Relay Ventures, and Alate Partners.
“It’s hard to imagine we will be building homes the same way in 5-10 years. Promise Robotics is well-positioned to be a disruptive force in this industry,” Kerry Liu, an investor at Horizons Ventures, mentioned. “We studied the landscape and concluded that Promise Robotics was not only a technical leader, they had an immediate eye towards working with the home builder and rapid commercialization. This is not surprising given the background of the founders. We’re thrilled to support them on this journey.”
Promise Robotics was based by Ramtin Attar and Reza Nasseri, a former R&D government at Autodesk and an achieved Canadian homebuilder. The firm emerged lower than three years in the past, and is rooted within the founders’ monitor file in large-scale automated residence building. The founders have accomplished hundreds of properties working a high-volume prefab manufacturing unit out of Alerta, Canada.
The firm estimates that for each 1 million new properties, the corporate can save the trade $130 billion in price, cut back GHG Emmisions by 560MT, and generate 16,000 new classes of jobs.
