National Guard Cyber Forces ‘Surging’ to Help States Protect Midterm Elections



The National Guard has supplied its 38 cyber items and a pair of,200 personnel to state and native election officers in an effort to assist shore up cybersecurity in the course of the 2022 US midterm elections.

Politico reported that in the course of the midterm elections, the National Guard could have a Joint Cyber Mission Center staffed with personnel from the National Guard, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA), and Department of Homeland Security to assist coordinate detection and response efforts and thwart cyber threats to the election.

“We will surge in the course of the election to make sure that we’ve got 24 hour protection all through this entire course of,” Maj. Gen.
