Munich Re is making a few modifications to its board of administration, together with new arrivals.
Dr Thomas Blunck (pictured), who has been with the Munich Re administration board since 2005, is succeeding Dr Torsten Jeworrek as chair of the reinsurance committee efficient January subsequent 12 months.
Jeworrek, aged 61, is stepping down at his personal request. The outgoing reinsurance chair has been with Munich Re for 32 years, 20 years of which have been spent as administration board member.
Thanking the trade stalwart for his a few years of “outstanding” service, chief government Dr Joachim Wenning stated: “Torsten Jeworrek’s contribution to our company has been extraordinary.”
Meanwhile Blunck will chair not solely the reinsurance committee but in addition the worldwide underwriting and danger committee. Additionally, fellow administration board member Stefan Golling will take cost of capital companions. Golling has been with Munich Re since 2001; the board of administration, 2021.
Joining them as new members of Munich Re’s administration board in December 2022 and January 2023, respectively, are Clarisse Kopff and Mari-Lizette Malherbe.
Kopff is the CEO of Allianz Trade till the top of November, after which she can be changed by Aylin Somersan Coqui. London-based Malherbe, in the meantime, has been with the reinsurer since 2007 and at present leads the life and well being reinsurance enterprise for Europe and Latin America.
