After two lengthy days of operating on tarmac, I used to be relieved to see the beginning of a path path I might take. The B7078 snakes its approach down by southern Scotland criss crossing the M74 each on occasion. I stepped onto the stony path and smiled to myself. There is nothing like that feeling of being on their lonesome on a path, jogging alongside at your individual tempo, having fun with nature. After 33km that day, I had one other 7km to run on this path, then 7km on the street till my campsite. Life was good.

The path was extensive and comfy to run on. To my proper was a forrest of densely packed bushes and to my left small mounds of grass, with occasional clearings you possibly can pitch a tent on if you happen to wanted to.
