Welcome to It’s Time for Science! For our first episode of 2024, host Tom Racine continues our dialog on fairness in science schooling! Tom talks with Meagan Sternberg, a Ok-12 Science Instructional Coach in Oregon, and Channon Jackson, a Program Director on the Alameda County Office of Education.

Meagan Sternberg

Meagan Sternberg is a Ok-12 Science Instructional Coach in North Clackamas School District, Milwaukie, Oregon. Sternberg taught center faculty science for 16 years at two North Clackamas School District faculties. During that point, she developed expertise working with adults via skilled studying facilitation and state requirements implementation.

In 2011, she transitioned into an educational coach place centered on supporting science academics as Oregon transitioned to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Channon Jackson

Before coming to the Lawrence Hall of Science, Ms. Vélez was the academic chief for a science-centered elementary faculty in Oakland, California, and a founding member and trainer in a Spanish dual-immersion program.
