My group did our regular “Taco Tuesday” trip, which includes taking the Coyote Creek Path out past the place it’s nonetheless flooded out from the current rains. We labored across the unhealthy spot by going over to Monterey freeway on the way in which out, then took Malech highway within the east foothills on the way in which again, ending up at Coyote creek golf course for lunch. It was fairly chilly after we began out however warmed up sufficient that we had been capable of benefit from the patio on the golf course restaurant. I took the lengthy method to the beginning of the trip so this totaled a bit over three hours of nice driving for me.
On the way in which out, we noticed the water gushing out of the underside of Anderson dam into Coyote Creek, two weeks after the extreme rain ended. The reservoir behind the dam continues to be about 50% full and it’s being drained as quick as doable as a result of it’s not imagined to have any water in it till the upcoming seismic retrofit is full. It might be some time earlier than this all drains sufficient so the path is not floodedThe Patio on the Golf Course
