CHIR Welcomes New Faculty, Hanan Rakine

CHIR is thrilled to welcome Hanan Rakine, M.P.H., as our latest college member.

Hanan joins us as a Research Fellow. Her analysis will deal with rising points in medical insurance and insurance coverage markets together with facility payment expenses and protection within the industrial market.

Prior to becoming a member of CHIR, Hanan labored on the Bipartisan Policy Center the place she analyzed nationwide well being care insurance policies and finest practices regarding Medicare and Medicaid Buy-In for Workers with Disabilities to cut back preventable well being care prices. Hanan additionally served because the Health Care for All Chair at American Medical Student Association (AMSA). During her time at AMSA, she developed and arranged weekly programming to coach college students concerning the Affordable Care Act and single-payer well being care. Hanan additionally regularly met with members of Congress to debate suggestions for equitable and accessible well being care laws. She acquired a B.S. in Public Health from Wayne State University and a Masters of Public Health in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan.
