Brazil’s Federal Police introduced they’ve arrested a Brazilian man they think as being a member of the cybercrime group Lapsus$ Group.
The man’s arrest this week is the results of what the authorities dubbed “Operation Dark Cloud,” launched in August, in accordance with police, following Lapsus$ Group cyberattacks late final 12 months on the Ministry of Health, Ministry of the Economy, Comptroller General of the Union, and the Federal Highway police.
“The investigations started final December, when the Federal Police grew to become conscious that the cloud surroundings of the Ministry of Health had been attacked,” the Federal Police assertion stated. “At the time, the attackers deleted recordsdata, knowledge and situations from the attacked folder, even resulting in the compromise of the web site (connectus.saude.gov.br), chargeable for the National Vaccination Certificate.”
