Why Aruba?

Aruba has been on our bucket record for years, and we listened to Kokomo 100 instances the week earlier than our arrival. It’s approach down south within the Caribbean, near South America, which implies it’s outdoors of the hurricane belt and has near-perfect climate yr spherical. I consider it’s a dessert local weather (we noticed plenty of cacti) and so there isn’t a lot rain both.

I’ll say that it was VERY HOT! 85 levels and direct solar was a little bit of a shock to our winter our bodies. We placed on tons of sunscreen and wore rashguards. I felt unhealthy “complaining” concerning the warmth, but it surely was fierce!

The resort was a simple 15-minute van experience from the airport, and the Hyatt is situated proper in the course of the developed space so you’ll be able to simply stroll off property to go to eating places and retailers. If we hadn’t had kids who required automotive seats, we’d have explored the island a bit extra by automotive, so we caught to strolling distance issues solely. In addition to the resort being walk-able on the town-side, there was an superior beach-front path that we might use to go on seashore walks the place there have been a lot extra eating places and bars to take pleasure in. So the placement of our resort couldn’t have been higher.

Travel Day

On our journey day, we bought up at 4am and flew from Charlottesville to Charlotte the place we met up with the cousins! This definitely made our 4-hour layover extra thrilling!!

We had some flight delays, however nothing too unhealthy, and we have been so glad once we arrived on the resort!!

Shout out to MARY who was the friendliest on the workers and was smiling even when she had a line 10 folks deep!

The Pool

The pool space was very so good (if a bit crowded) with water options and even a giant waterslide that I examined out! The children cherished the waterfall stairs and there was a pleasant large space that was shallow for smaller children (with hidden steps although, so clearly watch them like a hawk.)
