Florian Jaeger, a professor of mind and cognitive sciences and laptop science on the University of Rochester, who was not an creator of this paper. “Future work might ask, for example, under what additional induction biases (assumptions about universal grammar) the BPL approach can successfully achieve human-like learning behavior on the type of data infants observe during language acquisition.
