Ben Rector Old Friends Tour with Old Friends!
Lynsie and I’ve been buddies because the yr I moved to Charlottesville. People used to suppose we had been sisters at ACAC!
We have all the time shared a love for Ben Rector’s music, and that is the fifth or sixth (we are able to’t bear in mind!) time we have now seen him collectively. The first time was in our small Jefferson Theater right here in Cville and we have now liked him ever since!
We soar at any likelihood we get to see Ben on tour. We first noticed him in 2015. We did a meet & greet in 2016, and Lynsie and I went to Raleigh for a present.
Last summer time we went to Wolf Trap to see him on the large stage with a full band.
This time we drove right down to Durham to the Durham Performing Arts Center to see the acoustic model of his tour. And we had second row seats!!
The Younger B&B
We stayed with this beautiful couple who hosted us at their mattress and breakfast in Hillsborough! The lodging had been snug and meals had been included!
When we arrived for a late lunch on Friday, mother had hen salad, chips and grapes for us to get pleasure from!
Plus a brilliant yummy angel meals cake topped with whipped cream and berries!!
As a music lover, Dad got here with us to the present! His first Ben Rector live performance. He stated it exceeded expectations : )
Dinner at Bull City Burger
Dad led us to Bull City Burger the place we had an informal dinner earlier than the present.

Other Spring Things
Carter Mountain Sunset Series
The first of the Thursday evening sundown live shows at Carter Mountain began final week. Thomas’s buddies are within the band The Root Cellar Remedy and we went as much as watch them play.
It was 88 levels and the proper day for a sundown! I overlook out beautiful it’s to stay within the mountains generally.
We had a couple of Bold Rock ciders and shared this pizza for dinner.
Celebrating Baby Violet!
My good friend Erica, mom of Fern (Birch’s due date twin!) is anticipating child #2. Another botanical identify is becoming a member of the household – Violet! LOVE her identify! I wore all issues purple in her honor <3
We had a child sprinkle for Erica at Cake Bloom (extra floral themes!)
I had a soccer recreation after and wasn’t planning to drink any bubbly – till they provided a NA rose! I’m so pleased to see NA drinks popping up extra on common menus.
Downtown Ice Cream
Birch and I walked downtown for ice cream after faculty on one other beautiful spring day. Spring is just not my favourite season as a result of I don’t love the unpredictability of the climate – 57 someday / 85 levels the following. However, whenever you get an ideal heat spring day – there may be nothing prefer it!
All The Baseball
Mazen is within the thick of baseball season. Since shifting up a degree to the Majors in Little League this spring, he has observe or a recreation 3-4 instances every week.
